Manage YouTube with Ripple

Upload videos with a scheduled release, moderate comments and follow channel analytics. All through YouTube's official API, next to your other networks.

What you can do

Everything Ripple does on YouTube

Each feature below reflects what YouTube's API allows today. Where it does not, we say so.

YouTube details

On YouTube, you can

  • Upload videos and set thumbnails
  • Edit video details and privacy
  • Manage playlists
  • Reply to and moderate comments
  • Channel analytics

What you can post to YouTube

  • One video per post (up to 2 GB)
  • Title, description, privacy, made-for-kids, category, tags and an optional thumbnail
  • Links are added to the text

The publishing hub checks these limits as you type and shows a YouTube preview before anything is posted.

How to connect

Connect YouTube in three steps

  1. 1

    Sign in to Ripple

Use your DuoDev account and create or pick an organisation.

  2. 2

    Open Connections

An owner or admin chooses YouTube.

  3. 3

    Approve on YouTube

You sign in on YouTube's own page and approve the permissions. Ripple never sees your password.

You need

  • A Google account with a YouTube channel.
  • Google verifies the permissions Ripple asks for before they are available to everyone.

Access tokens are encrypted at rest and scoped to your organisation. Disconnecting asks YouTube to revoke access where it supports that.
